DESCRIPTION: Fresh Uncinatum Truffle ( Tuber Uncinatum Chatin) is one of the many varieties of edible truffles. Its appearance is very distinctive as it has a thick and irregular rind (also called peridium). The color of the rind ranges from very dark brown to deep black. Inside it has a gleba whose color ranges from white to ochre and hazelnut depending on the level of ripeness and the territory of origin.
HARVEST: The Black Uncinatum matures from September to December, mainly in forests, in very shaded areas, characterized by clay soils, rich in water and humus, in symbiosis with broadleaf trees.
PACKAGING AND SHIPPING: We ship fresh summer truffle in refrigerated polystyrene boxes to ensure the best preservation of the product during transport. (Recipe book included)
STORAGE: Fresh truffle should be stored in the refrigerator at 0°/+4°C wrapped individually in absorbent paper and placed in a plastic or glass container, for up to a maximum of 5 days.
CONSUMPTION METHODS: Fresh truffle can be consumed in various ways. It can be sliced directly onto your favorite dishes, or grated to prepare a sauce that seasons your creations.
OBSERVATIONS: Fresh truffle is sold already washed, nevertheless, we recommend washing and/or brushing it carefully before use. The presence of white spots on the skin is completely normal and can be easily removed by washing. Each piece is carefully selected by our expert operators.
Size: Truffles can be whole and/or split from 5g to 10g, which absolutely does not affect the quality of the product, but rather shows the degree of ripeness of the truffle.
The origin of the truffle is from the EU.
