DESCRIPTION: Fresh Burgundy truffle ( Tuber Uncinatum Chatin) is one of the many varieties of edible truffles. Its appearance is highly distinctive, as it has a thick and irregular skin, also known as the peridium. The skin ranges in color from very dark brown to deep black. Inside, it has gleba ranging in color from white to ochre and hazelnut, depending on its level of maturity and area of origin.

HARVEST: The Burgundy truffle ripens from September to December, mainly in forests and very shady areas characterized by clay soils rich in water and humus, in symbiosis with broadleaf trees.

PACKAGING AND SHIPPING: We ship fresh summer truffles in refrigerated polystyrene boxes to ensure the best possible preservation of the product during transport. (Recipe booklet included)

STORAGE:  Fresh truffles should be stored in the refrigerator at 0°/+4°C, wrapped individually in paper towels and placed in a plastic or glass container, for a maximum of 5 days.

HOW TO ENJOY: Fresh truffles can be enjoyed in various ways. They can be sliced directly over your favorite dishes or grated to prepare a sauce for your creations.

NOTES: Fresh truffles are sold already washed; nevertheless, we recommend washing and/or brushing them thoroughly before use. The presence of white spots on the skin is completely normal and can be easily removed by washing. Each piece is carefully selected by our expert staff.

Size: The truffles may be whole and/or split, weighing from 5g to 10g. This does not affect the quality of the product in any way; rather, it indicates the truffle's degree of maturity.

The truffles originate in the EU.
