DESCRIPTION
: The fresh Summer Truffle (tuber aestivum vitt.) Also known as the Scorzone Truffle is one of the many varieties of edible truffles. Its appearance is very characteristic as it has a thick and irregular rind (also called peridium). The color of the rind ranges from very dark brown to deep black. Inside it has a gleba whose color ranges from white to ocher and hazelnut depending on the level of ripeness and the territory of origin.

COLLECTION: In Umbria the summer truffle harvesting period is from 1st May to 31st August.

PACKAGING AND SHIPPING: We ship fresh summer truffles in refrigerated polystyrene cartons to ensure the best preservation of the product during transport. (Free recipe book)

STORAGE: The fresh truffle should be stored in the refrigerator at 0 ° -4 ° C wrapped one by one in absorbent paper and placed in a plastic or glass container, up to a maximum of 5 days.

METHOD OF CONSUMPTION: The fresh truffle can be consumed in various ways. It can be sliced directly on your favorite dishes, or grated to prepare a sauce to season your creations.

OBSERVATIONS: The fresh truffle is sold already washed, however, we recommend washing and / or brushing it thoroughly before use. The presence of white spots on the skin is completely normal and can be easily removed by washing. Each piece is carefully selected by our expert operators.

Size: about 10g to 20g. Truffles can be whole and / or split, this does not absolutely preclude the quality of the product, but shows the degree of ripeness of the truffle.

The origin of the truffle can vary according to its availability, from Umbria to other regions of Italy.
